Halloween in Tivoli

In the heart of Copenhagen there is one very special place, where the fairies live and beautiful fairy tales are born. If your mind is going the H.C. Andersen direction, you are not too far off. The famous author probably would have been a frequent visitor here.

The special place is Tivoli of course! Since 1843 it has become a world of amusement, beautiful gardens, concerts and gourmet dining. The Danes certainly know how to have a good time. It is a world of magic, fun and beauty. The park has a face for every season, so make sure to get an annual card on your first visit, as this is a world you will want to return to.

Summer – for one the weather is perfect, so you can spend the entire day strolling in the park. Tivoli is all dressed up in pretty flowers, quite nice rock concerts are organized every Friday (Fredags Rock) and there is loads of kids and families roaming around.

Autumn – After a short break in September, the gardens open up for Halloween.

Winter – Christmas is the prettiest season in Tivoli, the beautiful Christmas decorations, hygge atmosphere, the smell of glögg and æbleskiver will make you forget the freezing cold.

Now Halloween is in full swing until the end of October. So if you like pumpkins and fun times hurry before the park closes off till December.

Before the white Christmas comes there is still time to enjoy the “scary” Halloween. To the relief of some, myself included, and to the disappointment of many I would suppose, there is not much scary lurking in the dark corners of the park. What you will see though are thousands of pumpkin decorations literally everywhere. Such a pretty sight!

Here is a little peek into Halloween in Tivoli this year. Enjoy :)
